Pekalongan Batik


My fav is Pekalongan Batik- the most famous pesisir batik, from coastal cities of nothern Java. Pesisir Batik normaly take theme from everyday lives, incorporating patterns such flower, nature, animals, folklore or people. The color is especialy vibrant and absorbs influence from Javanese, Arab, Chinese and Dutch culture.

    Hi Dita!!!! I have never heard of Pekalongan Batik. I only know Batik Solo or Batik Jawa. I love them all. Batik is a beautiful art and I love arts!

    Theres many kind of batik. I must learn that myself too hahah. I like Batik Pekalongan - its from city with the same name, Batik Pekalongan has unique motif and I like the colors - if I pear them with jeans ,they looks nice!;-)
