KAWAH PUTIH (WHITE CRATER) - Flash back Trip!

Kawah Putih is a volcano crater at the top of Month Patuha.
This hidden treasure for adventurer located at 41 kilometers south of Bandung.

I came here last weekend- 12th July 2009 with my cousin, Lusi-  second time for her and first time for me.

I took some pictures of course and love to share them with u all here. Please enjoy.:-)

KAWAH PUTIH MAIN'S GATE
This is the main gate of Kawah Putih. Ticket price to enter this place is Rp.10000,- per person.

The roadway up to the crater is approximaxly 5 kilometers of bumpy road upward to the hill top of the crater from this main entrance and not to mention big forest on each side of the road. Due to that condition, using car is more convenient and for the safety, bus is not allowed but visitors who come with travel bus can rent Angkot- a public car provided by locals. Angkot's price is Rp. 8000,- per person, max passenger for one angkot is 14 passenger. Please note, these angkot cant be rented under that number and they will charge you.

The other alternative public transportation that's available for visitors is Ojek- a nickname for public motor cycle. Ojek price is Rp.25000,- to Rp. 30000 but If u know how to bet, u can pay cheaper than that.
The ojek driver will wait for youu at the parking area near the crater till you finish enjoying Kawah Putih and he will drive you back to the main parking area near this main gate.

The worrisome road negotiated with parking area, toilets, numerous stalls that have been set up to serve visitors near the crater. Refreshments can be bought and u will find many vendors selling inexpensive strawberries also.

The temperatures is relatively cooler so u might need sweater or jacket. Best time to visit is in the morning and around 2pm, fog will start to cover the area.

PHOTOS OF KAWAH PUTIH

Some pics I snapped. :)

Visitors still have to walk about 5 to 10 minutes far to see the beautiful scene

The lake of carter amazingly changes color during the day. A brilliant natural phenomenon, vibrant white/turquoise color caused by an active volcano which have been dormant since A.D.1600

The sulfur deposits have stained the land yellow at the edge of lake's water.
My cousin Lusi, enjoying her second visit.

I couldn't bear the odor of rich- sulfur air but look at the background, what a gorgeous turquoise!!!

Virgin Beaches at Pameumpeuk , South Garut

How was your first week of the new year 2011? was it same like any week last year? I surely hope not! but if it was then maybe you need to plan holiday soon this year and this post might inspires you hahah. ^-*

The city of Garut in West Java, capital of the regency of the same name, is close to a lot of interesting places. The South beach , Pantai Santolo or Santolo Beach and the wide area of South Garut is very fabulous place.
The "virgin" beach is never discover before is such a perfect description.

I did went to Santolo Beach with my sister and my little brother back in 2009. It was my first went to that beach and it was one of the best trip. Too bad I cant share the pictures - I have technical problem here and can not fix it sorry...

Anyway, I always like beach. I must say its one of my fav place on earth besides nice places and my mind :P
I love watching the wave, the blue sky and if you got lucky you can see beautiful sunrise right :)

FYI: I don't like hiking or camping. I mean, I cant sleep in the middle of no where and cant even change my clothes the next day. YAY!

I didn't have a change to go to the beach this year but my brother Rio did, with his friends but he went not only to Santolo Beach but also to other beaches in Pameumpeuk area like Sayang Heulang (Sayang Elang) and Parenge. He snapped some picture of course and he let me sharing some of them with you all here.

Here they are:

These pictures are taken from 3 different locations, Santolo, Sayang Heulang and Parenge.

I remember when I went to Santolo Beach, it took hours to get there from Bandung where I live but it was worthed.

Me and the rest of my family are jealous here lol so we plan to go to these beaches some where this year, well I must say Insya Allah to that ya.

Here's my first brother, we call him Rio at home but all his friends and colleagues call him Gilang. :)

Viola, I finally manage to publish my first post this year hahah.

I will be back. No worry, I still alive.:P
I just a little busy, that's all.
So stay tune!

XOXO

Ps: How do you like my blog's new look? I hope its a lot simple and cleaner than before now.

Huge thanks to "A" in Bali for the feedback and advice. ^-*

SITU PATENGGANG

Last weekend me and my cousine, Lusi decided to check out nice spots at Ciwidey tourism area. The first place we visited is a lake called Situ Patenggang. This lake located at Rancabali tea plantations area, about 47 kilometers South Bandung.
Whats interresting about this lake is the mythical story of its heart shape. Other than that, this lake is a scene of considerably beauty that offers an attractive and calmy location to relax and enjoy mountain air and cool breezes of the lake's water.
